I love this layout but if I puchase it will I be able to change certain things. Like add more categories on main page, links, and etc including videos and more adsense space
Like all of our themes, WP-Smooth is easy to customize and adjust. Rather than take my word for it, check out the Solostream forum post from one our repeat customers who has done a lot of customizing with our themes.

Hi is the background colour behind the template changeable to a simple yet bland corporate colour without the texture?

WP-Smooth, like all of our themes, can have the background modified in two ways.
First Option: change the background to one of the preselected schemes which is incorporated into the Control Panel. As you are probably aware, we demonstrate these options on our demo sites.
Second Option: You can alter the code for the background colors. If you don’t have the ability to do this yourself, we can perform the service for a small fee.
Bottomline: there is no doubt you can end up with the visual effect that you desire.

Is it possible to have each category page or subpage have its own different background? For instance, say I like the red background for the homepage but I want the black or orange background to appear for a different subpage.

It is possible to edit many areas in the theme. However, you will need to go to our support forum to find your answers. Our support team and volunteers work exclusively in this area because we cannot efficiently respond to support questions via comments.
